Dua Lipa eyes Oscar after 3 Grammy wins

After dominating the music charts, pop sensation Dua Lipa has set her sights on Oscar gold, Hollywood’s most coveted prize.

Following her acting debut in the star-studded spy thriller Argylle alongside Henry Cavill, the Levitating hitmaler is reportedly exploring scripts to book her next big role, one that could bring her closer to an Academy Award win.

However, among the potential projects an insider teased a guest role for Lipa, 29, in country music legend Reba McEntire’s hit sitcom Reba.

“Dua’s done some acting and wants to do more so Reba is also throwing around the idea of having her come on as a guest star on the next season of her sitcom,” a source told Life & Style.

They went on to spill the beans on the series production, saying, “They haven’t started filming yet so there’s room to get her involved, even if it’s just for a small part.”

Notably, this news comes shortly after McEntire publicly fangirled over Lipa’s smash hit Don’t Start Now.

Additionally, this isn’t the first time industry insiders have hinted at the New Rules singer’s growing interest in the acting realm.

After her role in Argylle and a cheeky cameo in the blockbuster Barbie alongside Ryan Gosling and Margot Robbie, sources say the Break My Heart singer is eager to earn more serious, Oscar-worthy roles.

“Dua’s received a tonne of scripts and is most interested in taking on the serious drama that will receive Oscars buzz,” one insider told The Sun, adding that Lipa “wants to really start pursuing acting,” to carve out a serious acting career.
