Princess Andre’s father, Peter Andre and stepmother Emily are no longer be the part of second season of her ITV2 reality show, following criticism from her mother, Katie Price.
Insiders told the Daily Mail that the influencer,18, made a calculative decision alongside her pop star’s father, 52, who agreed to step back, along and Emily, 36, in order to avoid further speculation surrounding his ex wife Katie’s absence from the series.
Princess’s brother Junior, 20, will, however, continue to appear on the show. Cameras expected to follow the young star abroad as she explores new business ventures, as well as at home, where she reportedly has a ‘big beauty gig’ lined up in Liverpool.
Last August, Katie, 47, shared her reservations over being deliberately excluded from The Princess Diaries, claiming that Peter and his management team considered her ‘trash.’
She said she felt ‘disrespected’ and disregarded’, and wanted to be by her daughter’s side as Princess follows in her parents footsteps reality TV parents and aims to build her own name.
Now, with Peter and Emily stepping away from the project in front of the cameras, the Mysterious Girl singer is reportedly hoping that the second season and third series will focus entirely on Princess.’
A source said:
‘Peter and Emily will not feature in The Princess Diaries seasons two and three. It was discussed between him and Princess, and they decided as a family that it’s better for the show to focus on Princess alone, rather than her family life.’
Another insider added: ‘It’s a nightmare for producers because they absolutely loved having Pete and Emily on the show.
‘Now they are struggling for content and storylines with just Princess alone and miss those interactions with her family at home.’
For context, The Princess Diaries, which has bene renewed for two new seasons, also showed teen at home with her family, including stepmother Emily, while Katie appeared only via a voice recording.
