Sydney Sweeney claims she’s ‘single’ as Scooter Braun romance heats up

The ‘Christy’ actress has been spotted on multiple NYC dates with the record executive this week

Sydney Sweeney just broke her silence about her relationship status following her split from fiancé Jonathan Davino, and surprisingly, she made no mention of her new flame Scooter Braun.

In a new interview with GQ published November 4, the Euphoria star insisted she’s officially single following her March breakup with longtime fiancé Jonathan Davino after seven years together.

“I’m single,” she said. “I don’t think I’m looking for a man right now. What I’ve learned this year is that I have a really, really amazing group of girlfriends and I am strong and independent and that I’m going to be OK.”

Still, at the time the interview was conducted, Sydney hadn’t ruled out romance entirely. “If love finds me, love finds me,” she shared. “I’m a hopeless romantic, so I hope love finds me, but I’m not the type of person that wants to go out all the time. And I do believe in true love and wanting to be with someone for the rest of my life.”

Though she said she was content flying solo, the Christy actress has since had sparks flying with Braun, 44, a veteran record executive known for his past work with Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, and more.

The loved-up pair have been spotted together several times this past week alone — from a PDA-filled stroll through New York’s Central Park to a cosy date at Bryant Park’s Winter Village.

Photographs obtained by Page Six showed Sweeney and Braun unable to keep their hands off each other.

Their public outings followed reports of a tense encounter between Sydney and Davino in Los Angeles, where a witness told TMZ she was heard shouting, “I don’t believe you. Please leave, leave me alone.”
