Zayn Malik was just returning the love to Jisoo but unintentionally set off a whole new debate among fans.
What began as an exchange of sweet compliments turned into speculation that the former One Direction star and the Blackpink member might be expecting a baby together.
The wild fan theory stems from Zayn’s Instagram post on Monday, October 13, where he dubbed Jisoo, 30, a “legend” and gushed about their collaboration.
“@sooyaaa__ Jisoo.. you’re an absolute legend, loved every part of this collaboration,’ he wrote before adding,”thank you for making me the coolest dad around. [laughing and red heart emoji].”
The South Korean actress and singer sweetly replied in the comments, “You already are [smiley and heart exclamation emoji].”
While it was clear to most fans that by “coolest dad” Zayn, 32, was referring to his five-year-old daughter Khai Malik, who’s a huge BLACKPINK fan and even attended their concert in New York with her dad earlier in July, some fans jumped to a different conclusion.
Cue the chaos. “Wait… is Jisoo pregnant with Zayn’s baby???” one user wrote on X.
“So he’ll be a daddy again together with Jisoo?” another added.
“Omg she’s pregnant????” a third exclaimed, followed by another, “Zayn just casually dropped a bomb like it’s nothing.”
Others were simply amused by the internet spiraling over what was clearly a harmless compliment.
