Prince William reacts after Kate Middleton called beautiful in Glasgow

Prince William left royal fans laughing with his funny response to a compliment thrown his way by a woman as he left Glasgow with his wife Kate Middleton.

“You look beautiful Kate, you too William,” said one of the women among the crowd who had gathered to catch a glimpse of the royal couple.

The woman appeared to praise William out of curtesy and as a second thought because she took a pause after praising his stunning wife.

“You don’t have to say that, Don’t worry,” said William as continued to walk alongside his wife leaving the crowd laughing over his remarks.

The lighthearted exchange between Prince William and the woman in the crowd added a touch of humor to the day’s events, which were otherwise marked by the seriousness and significance of the HMS Glasgow’s naming ceremony.

Princess Catherine , who was appointed as the Sponsor of HMS Glasgow in June 2021, played a key role in the ceremony for the state-of-the-art Type 26 anti-submarine frigate.

Catherine also smashed a bottle of whisky against the ship’s hull during the ceremony.

The tradition of smashing a bottle of whisky against a ship’s hull during a naming ceremony in the UK, often called a ship christening.
