ISRO-NASA Joint Earth Observation Satellite NISAR Successfully Launched | India News

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on Wednesday successfully launched NISAR (NASA-ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar), a sophisticated Earth observation satellite developed in collaboration with the American space agency NASA, from Sriharikota.

The mission, over a decade in the making with a joint investment of more than USD 1.5 billion, was launched today at 17:40 IST from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh.
